So, you want to be an umpire for the 5TLL?

Thanks for considering being an umpire for our baseball games. In order to work with us, you need to fulfill the following criterion.

1) You need to be a boy in 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade.
2) You need to be available on Sundays for at least ONE of the following times. 11:00 - 12:00, 1:45 - 3:00, 3:15 - 4:30, 4:45 - 6:00.
3) You need to have a decent understanding of the rules of baseball.
4) You need to know the 5TLL rules very well. These rules weren't updated for the 2020 season yet, but there won't be many changes.
5) You need to have the confidence to make calls loudly and clearly.
6) You need to be able to run around, and remain active for the duration of the game.
7) You need to be able to keep score using a pencil and card.
8) You need to have an upbeat attitude.
9) You must be respectful at all times.
10) You must be responsible. You cannot cancel at the last second unless there's an emergency.

By clicking the "Accept" button below, you are agreeing with the following conditions. You will be working for the 5TLL as a junior umpire. If you need to miss a week, you will E-mail us at [email protected] at least 3 days before that Sunday. Should you miss a game without the required notice, we reserve the right to dock $25 from your total salary. You understand that your job will be ump baseball games from the grades of PreK to 7th grade. You understand that you are required to understand all applicable rules, and you’ll receive the cell numbers of the commissioners in case you have any issues. Salary is $20 per game for 8th & 9th graders and $25 per game for 10th – 12th grades. There will be a few bonuses handed out based on the reviews of the Commissioners. Umpires MUST meet at one of the two appointed times (TBD) for training. Payment will be made either using a check, prepaid credit card or gift cards. Payments will be processed after the season is over.
